Niranjan has over 16 years Security research experience working on Attack Investigation, malware reverse engineering, Threat Intelligence and reporting. His cyber security research works were presented in multiple conferences that include VirusBulletin, AVAR, BSides, C0c0n, Decode ( TrendMicro), BlackAlps etc.

Some of his research were published in Business Time Singapore, Manila times, New Straits Times Malaysia , Korea IT Times and Industrial Automation Asia. He has contributed to multiple blogs for SentinelOne and McAfee.

Abhimanyu has extensive experience in cybersecurity, specializing in offensive security, penetration testing, and cyber forensics. He has conducted hands-on training and security awareness sessions for over 2000+ individuals at prestigious locations such as Technopark, the University of Kerala, IIIT Kottayam and various corporate organizations.

His expertise includes network and web application security, OSINT, WiFi pentesting, CMS exploitation, IoT hacking, and cyber forensics. He has mentored cybersecurity interns, cyber commandos of India, focusing on real-world attack scenarios, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.

Abhimanyu has delivered talks and workshops at various cybersecurity conferences and institutions.

He has also received official CERT-IN recognition and appreciation for securing Indian government websites, reinforcing his commitment to strengthening national cybersecurity.

As a CICSA-certified professional, skilled in red teaming, forensic investigations, and security training, Abhimanyu continues to contribute to the cybersecurity ecosystem.

With a career spanning over 15 years in application security, Abhi Balakrishnan brings a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and passion for problem-solving to the stage. Beginning as an electronics hobbyist, Abhi evolved into a developer at heart and later ventured into the world of Application Security (AppSec). This natural inclination to create and innovate drives their work, enabling them to build solutions to complex security challenges.

Their professional journey includes security consulting across diverse sectors—government, financial institutions, entertainment, cloud, and the financial industry—spanning India, the UAE, and the Americas. Over the years, they have conducted penetration tests, code reviews, web application assessments, threat modeling, secure coding training, and more.

As an active contributor to the open-source community, Abhi has made significant contributions to numerous projects, including OWASP Mantra, OWASP Bricks, BrickTown, ExploitMe REST, OWASP Snow, and many more. They are also the creator of educational tools such as XSS Train, TinyBirdCTF, and the physical card game Attackers and Friends, helping professionals and newcomers alike strengthen their security skills.
